Rusty Old Coffee Grinder - Perfect Restoration

In this video i'm restoring an old coffee grinder.

A few weeks ago I bought an old bench grinder to restore on eBay. The guy who sold it was actually selling more antiques, he had a room filled with old items. I took a look at his other stuff and this unique coffee grinder caught my attention right away. So I ended up buying it for $35. The one thing that really impressed me on this coffee grinder was the metal body, usually they're made of wood. I also liked the colour very much. The restoration itself turned out to be a lot more challenging than I first expected. I'm very happy with the final result of this coffee grinder. I really like how the handle turned out.

I hope you like my work and the video.

  • While I love watching him work, the editing is so good. If he restores, shoots, and edits these videos, then the men is amazingly talented in so many ways. Great videos!

  • 22:00 I was sad when he said he found some brass screws instead of "I make a new one"

  • . .

  • What do you do with theses items do you sell them ?

  • Inprecionante cara

  • At 3:47 why did you blur the button to the sandblaster?

  • chill video as ever. am curious though, why solder the funnel, wouldn't a brass braze weld have had a cleaner finish?

  • He really don't like Sharpe edges, right? 😄😆

  • A flush cut saw could save you a little time on your dowel work and is a nice addition to the toolbox

  • Stunning

  • This is so beautiful.

  • Great job bro. Hi from Turkey

  • Bravissimi!

  • When they asked me what I want to be when I grow up I wish I had known about this.

  • why clean the pieces and remove the paint, then sandblast?

  • It turned out beautiful!!!!

  • Pro tip: when soldering large items that tend to act like a heatsink, preheat the item to be soldered with a heat gun and add some liquid flux before the solder. The solder will flow much better at lower tip temperature and the surface tension of the solder will drop allowing it to wick into crevices.

  • 17:12 Is this not dangerous? Bare hands...

  • 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

  • I want extended videos with the full sandblasting footage. So satisfying. Lol

  • Don't like the color.

  • Ere mui en teligente puedes asel muho. Dinero

  • I got one of these

  • 🇺🇦👍🇵🇱

  • Why the paint stripper look like that tho😏

  • Zero percent Walmart in his videos

  • I believe they were not so smooth and glossy from the factory as they are now haha

  • I definitely want to drink coffee ground with this coffee grinder.

  • Semplicemente fantastico.

  • That’s damn sexy right there. Well done.

  • After watching several of your videos I got my old Burg-Mühle BKF coffee grinder from the kitchen shelf (just for decoration), disassembled and cleaned it. Removed stains, etc. and now it’s working just fine. Thank you for the motivation to do this.

  • 2:55 LIES!

  • This is, hands down, the best restoration channel on ILaward. The attention to detail and quality of the end results are just phenomenal, always a pleasure to watch.

  • Nice but the choice of color is …well, not so good… a beige color would have been more close to original

  • Good stuff

  • My only criticism is the knob of the drawer would have looked better brass, wood, or black, otherwise omg.... sooo satisfying to watch you work

  • Bravo👏👏👏

  • What's the name of this small handtool on 11:49 ?...

  • Beautiful ! You are a true artist !

  • 4:28 And when will the master restore the power button of the sandblaster unit? )))

  • kinda off topic.. but i build plastic gundam models.. when you snap the pieces out of the injection molded parts runners they leave little tabs you have to sand off with various grits of sand paper.. and honestly thank you because i file and polish them in the same hand movements you use to file off sharp edges and they come out perfectly blended and polished!

  • Magnificent!!❣️❣️

  • Ficou muito bom

  • Do you ever think about God the ONE Who gave you life?

  • Very very good

  • Incredible work! I love Watch yours videos you are so perfectionist!

  • 👁👍👍❤️❤️🌹

  • These videos of his are addicting! Super relaxing, fun to watch, & you can’t resist watching to the end! I envy people with skills like his! Super talented and kinda cool that he’s helping preserve unique items from history! I love American restoration but I have to admit I’d rather watch his videos over their show cause his are 100% focused on the restoration process which is way more entertaining! Especially the sand blasting the milling parts & polish parts! Something almost zen like watching him bring metals back to life!

  • beautiful work!!

  • Exelenye RELIQUIA

  • Exelente muy buena reconstruccion.

  • I think this type of grinder resembles the one which were stolen by Hotzenplotz in "the Robber Hotzenplotz," I don't know whether this plays music when grinding though.

  • Great 👍👌👍🙏

  • Capacità sapere e attrezzatura complimenti è un piacere guardare

  • Absolutely in awe of this guy's craftsmanship...Simply mind-blowing

  • Bravo! You display not only a wide range of technical skills, but also a deep knowledge of mechanics. Thank you for sharing the video tutorial on restoration!

  • Fantastic! What do you do with the finished pieces?

  • 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

  • Did it smell even a little like coffee?

  • >HONEY THE CAR WONT START >I make new one

  • i respect you

  • Nice video. Keep on going, although it might be better if you use longgrain plugs in stead of end grain. Screws wil hold longer in longgrain wood then endgrain wood. Have seen it in several video’s of you. Its just a tip😉. Keep on the good work💪🏻
