Mirror Mirror... Wrench Restoration

In this video i'm restoring a very big old rusty wrench.

Last time I visited my friend I noticed this huge rusty wrench. Its size faszinated me from the first look and that's why I decided to restore it. It's for sure the easiest project I did on this channel so far, but I really enjoyed doing something „smaller“.

I hope you like my work and the video.

  • Love all the videos from this publisher! Technical question: does polishing metal to a mirror surface inhibit rusting more than non-polished metal?

    • I would have it nickel or chrome plated. Not totally practical, but it sure would look nice.

    • Yes, mirror polished steel will be more rust resistant than satin. For the other extreme, try sandblasting and see how easily they rust! The rougher the metal is the more surface area it has to rust. This will increase the ability to rust and make it harder to clean.

    • @vnc106 The railways over here in Australia would have used that size spanner, l am an exrail worker.

    • Excellent question. I was just thinking about that.

    • @vnc106 normally used to LOOSEN items such as hydraulic hose connectors, that don’t require high torque

  • What is this machine ,,spraying silver????

  • Very excellent........ 👌🏽

  • Your going to force me to restore a one inch drive Proto ratchet I have.

  • You my hero.

  • Somewhat clumsy text painting with the toothpick, not your ordinary standard, make myself not feel as a complete looser though.

  • that was good sand blasting

  • Brilliant! But now you can't use this tool any more - or will be afraid for scratchers. :-) Look's real brilliant. Regards from Belgium

  • In my mind : after sandblasting, this vid gonna end . Lol 🤣 . Cause that thing is still in a good shape

    • @my mechanics keep the good work , man. You're the MVP

    • Thanks a lot

  • No clear coat over the painted areas?

  • I would LOVE me a sandblaster.

  • Pimp my wrench

  • Ok. I think I would even restore this one.

  • He found a giant wrench, restores it like a master.... Now I'm waiting for the day he finds the giant nut...

  • Even Germany cannot recognise their product now 😁😁😁

  • Gorgeous

  • Damn rights it was MADE IN GERMANY .

  • does the sandblasting destroy the gloves if it hits them?

  • Rusty nothing special is now an amazing work for restoration craftsmanship. Well done mate! Thanks for sharing.

  • Quedó muy buena la llave! Y es Alemana! Me gustaría verter restaurar mas cuchillos, hachas, espadas, lamparas a queroseno. Gracias.

  • Hurdadan 20 liraya aldi 250 liraya satar simdi

  • Why do you add videos so rarely? It's hard to wait ;-)

  • The wrench size 75 mm is just under 3 inches for us Americans.

  • to paint letters there is also the potato technique, do you know?

  • Melee Weapon...

  • i would hang that on my wall, next to my full scale Buster sword lol

  • Pat mustard would be proud

  • Beautiful work as always

  • My son told me about your channel 2 days ago and I’ve been watching it ever since. What an impressive craftsman you are. I just have 1 question. Do you sell any of the restorations that you do? Because if you do, I would be extremely interested in buying 1 or more items.

  • i think good idea would be to spray all spanner with clear lacker to seal all polishing gloss and blue/white paint.

  • No "time to test it" ???

  • the "$10 PASSWORD GETTER"

  • Make me beautiful again.

  • A jewel.

  • ODDLY SATISFYING ! I watch your videos for therapy reasons

  • Looked restored after the sandblasting lol

  • 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

  • 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

  • God of restoration!

  • Magnifique ! 🤩

  • This looks like a tool for WW2 tanks

  • Exactly 2 years later here!

  • I wasn't going to watch because I thought "it's just a wrench". But if course he made it amazing! Great craftsmanship like always!

  • Nunca tem tradução em Português 🤬🤬🤬

  • Now u can hit someone in ur backyard

  • MV rất hay, i like it 💚😴😭

  • The file work is one of the reasons i decided to subscribe. I learned to use a file in (well it was a long time ago) and recently obtained 2 new files for metal work. Excellent job.

  • You-know-what? You got 10s of millions of views but not 10s of millions subscribers.. my advice and be a human and stop being incognito. No one cares what you look like but if you have even a remotely charismatic personality people will subscribe

    • @my mechanics I hear you, but you have a lot of talent.. if you atleast put the restored items on ebay after the videos you could probably get a really good return on them

    • It's just about the work, not about me, I don't want to be a celebrity, I enjoy to keep my personal life as is.

  • Should be called Pimp My Wrench.

  • They call him Big Wrench Logan. Because he's got a big wrench.

  • Can we have a face reveal

  • Done @ 2:50. I don't know why he went any further ...

  • most boring video on your entire channel. it's just one big singular piece of metal to sandblast and polish. low effort compared to other things you've restored.

  • imagine wet sanding a 3 inch wrench with 400 grit sandpaper... you are an absolute mad lad, and I love it!

  • Awesome

  • In the Marine Corps, we called these, “B F W’S”

  • Another job well done!!!

  • Beautiful !👌😷👍

  • Why remove original marks. It destroys historical value.

  • a one big mama wrench 🔧 I EVER SEEN THING 🤭

  • It's Magic Mirror on the wall. js.

  • Gelungen die Verjüngungskur 🥳

  • Perfect Wrenchtoration

  • What does the sandblaster do actually? Does it blast sand and remove the rust off? or is it basically like paint?

  • Love your work far better than I could ever achieve! Love your vids! One little thing that could make your paint finish look better is if you invested in a spray gun and 2Pac paint? Maybe theres a reason you don’t ☺️

  • Ever thought using a grinder to get rid of most of the materials then use file? Save you self a lot of time

  • I was watching this while cooking and forgot the title. So I’m giggling around 400grit sanding thinking “he wants to see himself in it.” Then I remember the title 😂😂

  • Surprised he didn’t just make his own.

  • It was more perfect than the original. :))

  • Wrenchstoration

  • Me after sandblasting: Et voilà

  • So satisfying tp watch the shiny reflective end result

  • Where are the rust going

  • Oh damn is that a Cadillac? Naw it's a wrench...

  • Ah yes, the comically large spoon's distant relative

  • But… you didn’t make a new one! 🥺🤣

  • Seriously thought it was good and done after the sanding but man you still found a way to make it look better and better with each phase of sanding … and then that paint job really made it pop. Just awesome!

  • this may be a dumb question but what exactly does an electric sander do if it doesn’t spin?

  • 💠While painting the primer, I started thiking for change wil he apply blue 😶 paint and he didi it 💠

  • that tool is so big man what can this thing do with this size ?

  • Restore the button on the sandblaster already
